Social Work

The Social Work study programme can be attended either on a full-time or part-time basis at our affiliated PRIGO College Olomouc in Olomouc and PRIGO College Plzeň in Plzeň, Czech Republic. Upon graduation, students receive the DiS degree (i.e. “certified specialist”).

The Social Work course prepares its students especially for the statutorily regulated profession of a social worker. It is the only type of study at a higher vocational school that provides professional qualification to exercise this profession under the Social Service Act. The qualification requirements laid down by the Social Service Act apply to social workers performing activities in the social services, material need assistance, social and legal protection of children, at schools, educational establishments, prisons and asylum facilities.
